Let’s share science your expertise in a way your audience understands, trusts and remembers.
Thank you for your interest in my projects as a science writer, science communication coach and world traveller
Hello, I am Sarah,
I am a science writer, coach and communication strategist with a PhD in microbiology.
After years in the lab, I left academic research to help scientific knowledge travel further. Today, I work with scientists, research organisations and science-led associations to make complex ideas easier to understand, without losing accuracy or nuance.
My work sits at the intersection of science, storytelling and strategy. I help you clarify your message, adapt it to the right audience and turn it into content that works across formats, platforms and projects.
You may already have the expertise, research, reports, presentations or meeting notes. But turning all of that into clear communication can be difficult.
From courses and expert briefs to visuals, social media content and public-facing campaigns, I help you turn complex knowledge into communication assets you can use again and again.
Are you interested in:
I write, edit and proofread articles, blog posts or newsletters for scientific and non-expert audiences.
I build and publish websites for organisations and research labs that want to share science on their own platforms.
I create and execute holistic science communication plans for organisations to share science with the world long-term.
I coach scientists in communication so they can share their science with the world.
Every project is different. I know that science communication projects, especially in academia and non-profit settings, often come with specific budget constraints.
That is why I first want to understand your project, goals, audience and available material before suggesting a price.
Science Communication is a skill that can be learnt
Do you want to share your research with the world but are unsure how to find the right words? I started SciComm Society, where you can find resources to improve your science communication skills so people get your science.
Being an online science writer and world traveller is an awesome adventure. I regularly share my experiences and reflections on science communication in my newsletter "Science, Travel & Communication" on LinkedIn.
